Astrological Association: Sun in Virgo
Description of the Illustration: Father Time sits at a table attempting to glue back together a pentacle that has broken into eight pieces, even though one piece is obviously missing. Ironically, seven unbroken pentacles hang on the wall behind him, but he doesn’t seem to care. All that matters to him is his inability to fix the broken pentacle! Also behind him is a ticking wall clock in the shape of a Sun. The statue of the Virgin from the Hermit card rests upon Father Time’ worktable, but her back is to him. An orange sphere (Hod) peeks over the bottom center edge of the card.
