Description of the Illustration: The Lord of Misrule dances at a medieval banquet, only at this feast everything seems to be topsy-turvy in some way. All of the artwork and decorations are upside down and askew, and everyone wears masks. The king bows to a beggar that sits upon his thrown as he hands him a makeshift crown emblazoned with the planet Jupiter; the queen stands on the banquet table, bound, blindfolded, and laughing, as the Lord of Misrule places a circle of eight swords around her. The boy and the girl from the Lovers card sit at the banquet table. An orange sphere (Hod) peeks over the bottom center edge of the card.
