Description of the Illustration: A group of magi (Persian experts in astrology, magic, and natural sciences) visit a toddler-age Jesus in his home, offering him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. By the opulence of the house of Joseph, the father of Jesus, it is clear that he is already a wealthy man. Joseph and Mary hold hands in the background; while Joseph holds the planet Mercury, Mary holds the statue of the Virgin from the Hermit card. Ten perfect pentacles are superimposed upon the picture, forming the image of the Qabalistic Tree of Life. A russet, navy, citrine, and olive sphere (Malkuth) peeks over the bottom center edge of the card.
