Ten of Swords
Ruin
Astrological Association: Sun in Gemini
Description of the Illustration: During an autumn Sunset, we are outside at a somber funeral in a cemetery. The dead man in the casket is lying on his stomach, with nine swords sticking out of his bloody back. Mictlantecutli is amongst the melancholy mourners, disguised to look exactly like the rest of them, only he has a smirk on his face as he holds the tenth sword, still covered with the dead man’s blood. No one seems to notice the Lord of Death as he whispers something malicious to the boy and girl from the Lovers card. A red Sun shines on the crimson horizon. A russet, navy, citrine, and olive sphere (Malkuth) peeks over the bottom center edge of the card.
